THINGS I MUST DO TO PREPARE FOR COLLEGE APPLICATIONS

DONE, DONE AND DONE!

1. EXAMS

I did not have the best senior year in high school, which directly affected my overall GPA. To compensate for this, I have to retake a few standardized exams:

  • SAT II Biology. June. Check.
  • TOEFL. July. Check.
  • ACT. Check.

2. ACADEMICS

This is where the biggest change (I think) goes. I’m linking academics to my possible majors and career interests, which I believe will continue changing for a while. But here are just some of my interests, which I hope to be able to peruse and pursue for a while before I settle down on one or two:

MAJORS

  • Psychology.
    • Social/Personality Psychology.
    • Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
    • Psychoanalysis.
  • Media Studies or Communication.
  • Language and Literature.

MINORS

  • Digital Writing.
  • Business (Entrepreneurial Studies).
  • Creative Writing.
  • Classical music. Cello.

OTHERS

  • Fitness & Health. Personal benefits.
  • Visual arts (graphic/web design). WordPress & Blogging related.
  • Coding. The future. Would help with my web design and blogging interests too.
  • Vintage fashion. Personal taste.

3. COLLEGE APPLICATIONS

  • Early Action. By November 1.
  • Exams, essays, supplements.
  • Transcripts, recommendation letters.

I think that’s it. I hope, if you read the whole list, that it was useful for you too, because writing them all down has definitely made me reflect upon them much more. Thanks for reading!

  1. If I may ask, where do you currently live ? Woah ! Those are some great accomplishments so far. The only music I know is hearing it. 😛 Don’t worry about the surviving skills. When are you forced to do it, you do it. You might mess up once or twice, but you end up learning how to do it right. 🙂

    • I currently live in Peru 🙂 And thank you! They may seem ‘great’ on paper because I can fully elaborate haha. And thank you for that suggestion about survival skills – I guess that’s the mentality!

      • Woah ! Now I have to say that you live in a very exotic place. Anytime somebody tells me where they live, I include it in my travel list. 😛

        • HAHAHA I guess it does sound kind of exotic if you’ve never been here. It’s actually not exotic where I live at all, but I guess for tourists who only visit the ‘tourist’ and well-known sites, it does make the whole country look more culturally and historically engraving. Then again – I’ve lived here my whole life, so of course I wouldn’t call this place exotic hahaha.
